Rosemary "Dezi" DeSiervi, M.Ed. is a holistic health counselor, educator, public speaker and founder of her own company called “A Healing Garden.” She started this company to educate the public about the powerful healing properties of aromatherapy essential oils and to serve as a source for information and products.
In today’s market, pretty much anything that has a scent is labeled aromatherapy. This is simply not so. Dezi helps people discover the truth about what aromatherapy really is, and how a true essential oil extracted from a plant can have such deep physiological effects.
In addition to being enlightened and a lot more knowledgeable, being educated by Dezi means discovering amazingly simple and natural remedies for cold season, stress, hormonal balancing, sleep and more with products that are natural and contain no synthetics.
Dezi's passion and specialty is obviously aromatherapy. She was awarded International Certification in Aromatherapy in 2001 through her studies with Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt of the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy. She was excited to develop and teach the first semester-length aromatherapy course offered at a public institution (West Valley College) in the Fall of 2009, and has developed twelve new continuing education courses for West Valley for their Certified Massage Therapist Program. The aromatherapy course will run again this Fall 2010. She has taught at West Valley since 2003.
In addition to aromatherapy, Dezi is a Reiki Master, State Certified Massage Therapist, and has provided onsite chair massage to County Employees through the County of Santa Clara Employee Wellness Program for the past eight years.
